I moved to Sonora a few years ago and found there are very few cachers and even fewer good caches in the area. Since I moved here, I had planned to place a lot of caches, but just haven’t had the time or been able to find good locations. There’s lots of private property with lots of cameras watching all the good spots where someone poking around might look suspicious. Anyway, last year I decided I wanted to put out a whole series of caches specifically designed to bring finders back to the area. Once again, time became a factor, and the search for locations seems daunting. I’ve put a few SBA’s on caches whose owners have moved away and have only DNFs for the past couple of years. So, wish me luck that this year, I get those caches placed! They will be MOSTLY puzzle caches, but easy ones anyone can solve. If I can get it done, I’ll kick off the publications with an event.
There is one LPC that I have given a favourite point. That was in Idaho. I was there, not because of the geocache but I had to do some business in a local bike shop back in Sandpoint after I had finished a bicycle ride through Idaho and British Columbia. That was a special moment and a special place for me and thus I gave the favourite point. It is also why I will always remember this LPC.
