Good to hear you talk about Garmin inReach on the show. A year or so ago I decided that emergency communications capability would be good to have while caching outside of cell coverage. I was ready to replace my Garmin 62s handheld, and looked into the 66i with inReach capability. Long story short, it’s a no-brainer. There are several subscription plans to choose from, and the $12/mo plan works great for me. One might consider inReach a bit pricey, but for peace of mind the price is right. Very satisfied user of this technology.
