Awesome show! Having now seen GeoWoodstock from both the attendee and host side, I have an even greater respect for those who put on the event. We put on a Mega and another slightly smaller event every year in Texas. Other than adding to the workload we thought GeoWoodstock would be like our Mega just scaled up, and in some ways easier. That is somewhat true. But for those events we go to one spot and everything happens there except the CITO. Registration is in one place. There’s nothing to move. No big signs to make. Usually only one vendor. This part was very different. We should have honorary degrees in logistics now. And storage – what used to fit in someones closet now was store in a 40 foot container.
But whether it’s GeoWoodstock at a convention center or a meet and greet at a pizza joint, the main goal of both is the same. Increase your number of friends!
