Thank you for your interesting article about ticks. Last week I was geocaching in Germany because of the giga-event and the week after the giga-event. On Monday I had 3 ticks removed, on Tuesday I had 3 ticks removed. It is difficult to avoid them with geocaches placed in bushes. Family of mine have been infected with lyme. My aunt got it after a visit to Connecticut. So I am worried and how much I wish there was a vaccin and an effective cure. I will look after some repellent, that is a good advice.
You got a travel bug left over with your WWFM-event. These big travelbugs left at events are controversial in the Netherlands and it has raised a long discussion on facebook. I wonder if you didn’t feel annoyed with it.
Tx also for organizing the WWFM (we had one in my local area) and again for the show.
Thanks for the great feedback. Yes ticks with Lyme Disease are a big concern for people in certain areas. And yes, I was a little annoyed about the large travel bug, but we attend events fairly often, so it shouldn’t be too hard to move along.
