I’m looking forward to hearing the reasons behind the recent changes to challenge caches. The next problem I see on the horizon is discovering that a checker is flawed and doesn’t yield the correct, or intended, results. Such is the case with some checkers already on Project-gc. Since it’s incumbent on the CO to verify a finder’s qualifications, I’d hope that a verifiable list of qualifying caches would supersede an incorrect checker’s check, thereby signaling that the checker itself needs to be checked. 🙂
I own a few Challenge caches. I don’t check to see if people qualify. The vast majority of cachers are good, honest people who aren’t going to cheat. The few that feel the need to cheat at this game are really only cheating one person – themselves.
