I have taken a friend with me geocaching and he understands what geocaching is all about. He does enjoy it, but I don’t know if he is ready to sign up for a geocaching account. I am hoping to go geocaching with him again. I think the term that I like to refer to non geocachers who know about it is exactly that.
They are non geocacher. They know enough about it to not be referred to as muggles, but they haven’t showed any interest in doing it on their own.
My family also knows about geocaching, although they are fine with my wife and I doing it, my family really don’t care to do it. We do have a cache that is in my parent’s yard that they are fine with it there. It has been found quite a bit.
Thanks for another great show.
Thanks for commenting. Non-geocacher is a good term.
Really enjoyed the show this week. My high school 50 year reunion will be this summer. As an alternative to the golf outing that is part of the reunion, I have volunteered to take a group geocaching. I’ve already got several non-geocachers signed up. They have heard about the sport but never done it. I will definitely keep the tips from your show in mind as I make plans. The main problem I’m going to have is I no longer live in the area where I went to high school, which of course is where the reunion will be held. Since I’ve not been back to the area to geocache, I won’t be able to take them to caches I’ve already found. I may have to change my plan a bit and arrive a day or two early so I can pre-hunt the caches. I also had selected a nice walking trail through a greenbelt of parks with a number of caches along the way. However, from the posted pictures, they are mostly power trail caches with identical containers. I’m definitely going to do some rethinking.
Glad you enjoyed the show. That sounds like an awesome activity to do at a high school reunion. Have fun!
UncleCacher – I’m going to suggest you contact one or two of the locals to help you out. They can tell you the “must do’s” and the “avoid at all costs” caches.
