Today 12/14/2015, is a BIG day in San Antonio. Blue Bell was put back on the shelves here. It’s 3 PM here now, and I’m willing to bet every place that had it is sold out. My favorite is Moo-llennium Crunch.
I’m looking forward to the Texas Challenge, but I’m really looking forward to the ice cream social and riding the carousel. Hopefully Blue Bell will have the tours going again. Cheryl and I stayed in Brenham for our honeymoon and did the Blue Bell tour. We also did the Ben & Jerry’s tour this summer, and though fun, doesn’t hold a candle to Blue Bell’s tour. We also did Brenham’s Geotour on our honeymoon. It was fun!
I’ve been a team captain for the Central Texas team for the Texas Challenge many times. We don’t have all that fancy software or do practices. We do have two rules. You play reasonable safe, and you must have fun. We’ll kick you off the team if you’re not having fun!
Cheryl and I were the #66 and #67 finishers of the Texas County Challenge. Only took us 7 years to complete it. I don’t want to know how much money we spent doing it. It wouldn’t matter though. It was worth it. The different parts of the state are so drastically different from each other. The geocache hides (other than LPCs) are all different based what’s available to hide things in or near. You may be a rock star in your own part of the state, but go to another and you’re just as lost and confused as everyone else.
Thanks for another great show!
And thanks to all who send a card to Barney!
