I’m not sure I like the concept of changing the D/T rating on a cache depending on the season. There are many challenges that use the D/T ratings to qualify, and it would be annoying to discover that a changed rating suddenly disqualified me.
I agree with that. Changing the D/T rating can really mess with people’s stats. Maybe just a note on the cache page that the cache will be easier / harder during XYZ season.
I know it can mess with the stats and see how that can be an issue, but I can also understand that the difficulty really could change depending on the time of year (i.e. frozen under snow and ice during certain times of the year). I dunno. A good thought to ponder tho’!

Hey Ragnhild – Awesome to hear that you MAY be joining us if we get this organized. We’ll have to look into the Norwegian event. We’ll be staying aways out of town that night with relatives, so we’ll see what we can work out.
How is the planning going for the joined drive to Canada on the 12th? 🙂

Count me in with the “Don’t change the D/T ratings” bunch. However, if the area the cache is hidden changes, like once was hike in the woods is now a park and grab, I’d change those D/T ratings. But I’d do it by archiving the old cache and placing a new one.
Won’t get to Block Party in time for the Wednesday event. That sounds like it’d be a blast. Should you decide it really is, and you decide to do it for GW14’er, get that word out real early. We’ve already been planning our trip to GW14’er for a month now.
Hey EWB – Sorry for the short notice on the event. Our whole trip to Seattle was a last minute decision, as we waited on several pieces to fall into place. And the Canada event (which isn’t finalized yet) was a very last minute brainstorm. We’ll try to plan farther ahead whenever possible!
