I haven’t listened to the episode yet, but thanks so much for that information on poison ivy. I recently started to get it and it’s horrible. I was looking at all different kind of products to buy. Looks like I don’t need any of that. π
You’re welcome! Really hope it works for you!
Went to grab a geocache and had to walk through sooo much poison ivy. I did what he said in the video and I have no break outs so far! My boyfriend on the other hand did get a little poison ivy but it’s just in small spots so he must not have scrubbed as good. I really appreciate this tip! π
This is THE hand cleaner for auto mechanics, and was all I could think of the whole time you guys were talking about how hard it is to get the motor oil off. My dad was a mechanic when I was a kid and I can still recall the smell and the odd texture of this stuff. I can’t help but wonder if this is THE product to make poison ivy rashes a thing of the past. I will have to find some and keep it on hand for post hiking/caching clean-ups. http://goophandcleaner.com/
Hey thanks for sharing this – very helpful.

…..and I just read Dr Jim’s blog page, and he says Goop works great. OK, not an original idea, but I feel good it has been validated π
We had also a nice WWFM in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We joined at the square before the Rijksmuseum, a famous museum. We had a great time. Tx for the show.
Hello,
I’m looking for your RSS feed for the podcast, do you have one ?
Thanks.
Yes, the RRS feed is at http://feeds.feedburner.com/podcacher
You can find it under About / How to Listen
I’m so sad we don’t live close. We’d totally invite you to our game nights.
If you like Forbidden Island, you will really enjoy Forbidden Desert. It’s got a little more meat to it. And of course if you are talking about cooperative games you have to consider Shadows Over Camelot. Then there’s Castle Panic which was published by a friend’s company Fifth Street Games.
Do either of you ever play Dominion?
We love game nights! Will have to look into some of these games. Haven’t heard of any of them yet.
Check out http://www.BoardGameGeek.com to learn about ANY board game.
Another cooperative game that is probably my favorite of the cooperative game type is Flashpoint. You and your fellow players are Firefighters trying to rescue people from a burning home.
And the caching connection to gaming…
Several of us met regularly at a local game store owned by another friend (www.gamenightgames.com). I bought a GPS not long after I moved to Utah to help me navigate while hiking in the desert.
When I had been reading through the owner’s manual and playing with my new toy, I stumbled across the Geocache button and an insert that gave a two week trial Premium Membership to geocaching.com. As part of all the other account signing up and registering I did to get my GPSr up and running, I also signed up for a geocaching account and downloaded a handful of caches.
The next night I had my new Garmin Colorado with me. A family that I regularly played games with saw it. They had gone caching a few times. One of the 12-year-old girls in the family went out with me to show me how to find a cache. Within a year daphm and Mzblubrd started caching regularly. Some of our other gaming friends became occasional cachers after we took them with us. That’s how gamers start playing a game called caching.
I listened to your latest podcast, and it was excellent, as usual, and you are the 4th podcast, that I listen to, that mentioned Forbidden Island.
Well, yours was the clincher, I went out to my neighbourhood gamestore and played a round with myself as both players. The game started slow, until I got the hang of the rules. The game sped up, as the island began to sink, and we died, racing to the sinking chopper.
I spent over an hour on the game, stood up, put the demo away and purchased my copy.
As to Geocaching, I’m still playing and am getting close to 750 finds.
Please keep up with the excellent work, on all you do.
Eric
I hope that GC.com considers offering a WWFM again. You do a lot for their business!
