We had a great Memorial Day weekend which included spending time with family at the beach, playing in a worship band (iTrax), attending Spirit West Coast at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, going to the Wild Animal Park and, of course, Geocaching!! Monday (the 30th) was a special day because ONE YEAR AGO on this date, iTrax used geocaching to propose to FoxTail (he hid the diamond ring in a fake cache with hundreds of toy, plastic rings).
We enjoyed sleeping in on a Monday, and having a lazy morning. Then we packed a picnic lunch and headed to the Wild Animal Park for the afternoon. It was a beautiful sunny day and not too crowded. iTrax got some great animal shots with his new Canon 20D! We stayed until the park closed at 5:00, and then decided to hit some caches in the area.
We ended up finding 7 in the next couple hours of daylight - several near the WAP and then the rest back in Escondido. We found the 2 remaining Urban Legends and were surprised to find them so close to a church where iTrax used to play in a worship band! We had no idea they were there. One that we found in downtown Escondido (name is WRATH) has a very clever camo job. It was a fun way to end a really nice weekend.
