A Listener Story

From Michael Carter

I had two caches of mine go missing in my home town of Orangeville, ON. One had a brand new travel bug that a couple from Newfoundland left. I decided to see if I could try to get it back. I wrote to the local newspapers to see if I could get them to put something in the paper. The most they were willing to do was to put an ad in the lost and found section. As I figured it's been two months and no one has returned the missing travel bug. Didn't think it would show up, but no harm in trying.

However the main editor of our local paper contacted me to see if he could interview me about Geocaching. So the whole family went out, and showed him the ropes. We had our picture on the main page pointing to the article on page 3. We were so excited about it we just had to tell someone.

Check out the article here

It's always nice to see good press about geocaching. Thanks for sharing your story, Michael!
